Your Golf Holidays Become the sponsorship Partner of The English Golf Union
London, UK (PRWEB) February 3, 2008 -- Morgan Clarke, Owner of Your Golf Holidays, is delighted to announce the company's sponsorship of The English Golf Union. The luxury golfing breaks specialist has partnered to provide sponsorship of several high profile events, as well as providing exclusive offers to the English Golf Union's membership of amateur golfers.
The English Golf Union (EGU) has served as the governing body of male amateur golf in England since it was founded in 1924. It looks after the interests of over 1,900 golf clubs and 740,000 members and is a non-profit organisation run for the benefit of English golf and its players. "To help the roots of the game I have played since I was eight years old is a true pleasure, and I am sure that our clients will benefit from the EGU partnership as well", says Morgan.
Your Golf Holidays are involved with the following English Golf Union events:
? Sponsorship of the Spring Medal, open to all the English golf clubs with holiday prizes for the winners.
? Sponsorship of Captain's and Past Captain's Regional Finals and Grand finals, with hospitality and holiday prizes.
? Sponsorship of the English Amateur Trophy, with special VIP invitations to their best clients with Champagne, a buffet lunch, nibbles, access to the practice facilities and private coaching, play on the Bracken course, a private bar and balcony and prime viewing of the tournament.
? Exclusive offers to the readers of the English Club Golfer magazine.
The EGU works to increase the interest and participation in golf through initiatives to promote English golf to both juniors and adults. It organises all the major men's English amateur championships including the English Amateur, the Brabazon Trophy and other international matches hosted by England. Past champions include Nick Faldo, Paul Casey and Lee Westwood.
"Through our partnership, we hope to assist in making more people take up our great game and to help current English golf players have even more fun. I'm really looking forward to the relationship - the team at the EGU are professional, hard-working and they have a genuine love of golf. Plus, I get to play at Woodhall Spa a couple of times!"
