EagleTel Adds Seven New Florida Counties to Service Area, Changes Name

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) May 14, 2007 -- EagleTel, Florida's Other Phone Company has expanded its network to offer telephone and internet service in the Florida counties of Broward, Dade, Indian River, Martin, Monroe, Palm Beach and St Lucie.

As part of this expansion, the company has changed its name to AstroTel to avoid a potential conflict with a similarly-named company which does business in Dade County. The company is not changing management or ownership as part of its name change.

EagleTel/AstroTel is a Florida Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) which has been providing its advanced telecommunications services to the 6-county Greater Tampa Bay area since 2002. In additional to traditional and advanced telephone services, The company's flagship product SmartMail Fax is also now available in the new service area. The SmartMail Fax service provides advanced inbound and outbound faxing capabilties for businesses.
